Fabio Perini of Lucca, leader in the paper machinery sector (for which Camst manages the company restaurant), organized an “open day” on 10 April where collaborators and their families were invited to visit the factory and the important technological novelties recently presented at the “Tissue World” Exhibition at Nice. Gerist organized, for 1000 guests, a fascinating gastronomic route featuring theme islands with crepe, cold meats and cheese, pizza, confectionery and “rarity” stands, with a sector dedicated to children where popcorn, candy floss and ice-cream were served.

Presentation of the book “Florence by Cy Decosse” - Stibbert Museum, October 2009
Memoirs of a party organized in occasion of his previous photographic exhibition in Florence at the beginning of 2000, Cy Decosse involved us in the collateral initiatives at the Artistic Photographic Exhibition at the Academy of Art and Design in Florence. One of these was the Gala organized for him and his guests at the Stibbert Museum; 120 people visited the Museum and tasted the delicacies of Leonardo, our chef. In the book, which documents the Exhibition and the route that Cy organized for his friends in an intense Tuscany week, there are also pictures of the party as well as the recipes of our chef’s delightful dishes.

Meeting with the world of CESVOT (voluntary organization) – Fortezza Medicea, June 2009
Cesvot gathered together its Volunteers from Tuscany in Siena, in the splendid Medicean Fortress of Tuscany for a business meeting and party with a concert and lunch. Gerist organized an 800 seat buffet; dominant theme were the matching colours of orange and green, CESVOT’s company colours; the surrounding nature, great artistic value and embellished with a breathtaking view over the rooftops of Siena all made the evening truly magical, with a mild spring temperature, a cordial and cheerful climate plus a buffet with delicious Tuscan specialities.

The Couscous Restaurant at the 74° International Artisan Exhibition – Florence, April- May 2010
For the 9 days of the 74° International Artisan Exhibition in Florence, from April 24th to May 2th 2010, Gerist organized a restaurant inspired by the North African culture proposing several varieties of couscous rigorously prepared with couscous steamer pots. The setting recalled the colours of those wonderful lands, with drapes and table linen in yellows, reds and oranges. From this positive experience Gerist produced a small Arab style “model” banquet that can satisfy the ever increasing demand for ethnic cuisine.

Gerist and the 150° Unity of Italy – April 2011
For the 75th International Artisan Fair, held at the end of April, Gerist organized, in collaboration with the Florence Fairground, the “Tricolour Restaurant”, inspired by the Artusi Gastronomic culture; the restaurant featured numerous red, white and green decorations from the furnishings, waiters’ uniforms, table linen and food.
