At Fortezza da Basso was held AD/PD 2013, the 11th International Conference on Alzheimer’s & Parkinson’s Diseases, with about 2000 people, organized by the prestigious PCO Kenes Group of Tel Aviv.

In four days Gerist Ricevimenti served 7.000 lunches and 9.000 coffee breaks.
The Master Event was the Gala Dinner, which involved most of the top floor of Padiglione Spadolini, hosting 500 people.

A pleasant setting in black, green and orange for the buffet, and a pure white, however, the tables ensured a warm and welcoming environment, enhanced by a clever lighting.

Buffet menu strictly in the Tuscan cuisine, with a huge buffet of sweets and cakes who delighted international audiences in order dinner and during the dance.

Gerist organized business lunches, inauguration cocktail and coffee station. The catering service for BTO was attended by a large group of students from Istituto Alberghiero Buontalenti, which gave freshness and fun to serve.

The BTO hashtag was among the top trends of 29 and 30 November #bto2012.

From October 10th to 13th was held at the Fortezza da Basso the Congress of Italian Society of Orthodontics. As in previous editions, Gerist took care of business lunches with themed menus; this year themes were the OIL, WINE, BREAD, represented by dishes of Tuscany and products from Florence and Chianti.
Even the buffet followed these themes, with corners marked by “rural citations” and objects of peasant culture closely linked to these strengths Tuscany.
Within 3 days Gerist served about 4.000 participants.

Pitti Immagine, international fashion fair, started on 19th June and finished on 22th June in Florence.

Like other years Pitti Immagine joins new ideas of style and trend with the needs of customers.
Pitti Uomo is the main part of Pitti Immagine. This was the 82nd edition of Pitti Uomo and it registered a total of almost 17.800 buyers: 1065 brands exposed in Fortezza da Basso, location inside fair park of Florence.

Also important are Pitti Immagine W and Pitti Bimbo: the first for woman for 10 years, the second for children for 75 years.
Gerist Ricevimenti fitted two Bar for Wonderfood Pitti, fair of natural, traditional and rustical food: Bar of Pasta and Bar of Bier.
From 28th June to 30 June Pitti Bimbo exposed new collections in Fortezza Da Basso: Gerist Ricevimenti organized snacks for the exhibitors at the stands.

PITTI IMMAGINE now in Florence!

This year, the important fair dedicated to clothing and to new concepts of national and international fashion industry, will start on June 19th (until 22th) with Pitti Uomo and Pitti Woman that will open a summer full of new ideas in fashion, in the exhibition area of Fortezza da Basso and of Ex-Dogana.
Over 1000 fashion brands will be present at the Pitti Uomo and 75 brands in the exhibition area of Pitti Woman.

During the period of Pitti Fashion Exhibition, Gerist Ricevimenti will organize catering services in Taste Lounge Bar Restaurant and in some exhibitors stands.

Florence Convention Bureau and Firenze Fiera organized a pleasant Fam Trip for 2 days for a group of qualified foreign buyers, who have had the opportunity to meet some Florentine tour operators, including Gerist Ricevimenti.

Guests from Germany, Holland, France, United Kingdom and Belgium, have unraveled into an enjoyable program of visits, meetings, lunches and dinners, tastings, and a treasure hunt that led them to discover glimpses of unusual beautiful city of Florence.

Gerist took care of dinner with a lounge setting and original food corners: a tasting of charcuterie by Slow Food, which was displayed itself a Swedlinghaus slicer, and a desserts corner, prepared by Chef Leonardo.

Danzainfiera is an international fair that have always a great success, a sign that the world of dance has broadened its appeal, perhaps because of some hit TV broadcasts.

Besides the usual bar and buffet at Fortezza da Basso, Gerist Ricevimenti has set up the VIP Club, with important guests from the world of dance, such as the international étoile Polina Semionova, Francesco Ventriglia, Amedeo Amodio, Raffaele Paganini, Mauro Astolfi, Kledi Kadiu, Anbeta Toromani, Garrison Rochelle, Stefano De Martino, Stefano di Filippo, Francesco Mariottini, Maria Zaffino, Anna Maria Prina and dancers from the TV talent show Amici.

The President of the Italian Republic Giorgio Napolitano chose Danzainfiera to assign the prestigious medal dedicated to the great protagonists of the Italian art and culture.

In the occasion of the Annual Meeting, Gerist organized the traditional Gala Dinner for General Electric – Nuovo Pignone in Cavaniglia pavilion at Fortezza da Basso.

This year was particularly taken care of setting, in recent years very classic: design always trying to black, to light and transparency, in deference to the most current vogue of the table.

The menu was very traditional, however, because it is known that Tuscan cuisine is well appreciated by many American guests.

The dinner was organized in collaboration with the Florentine catering company  Bachini & Bellini.

A simple and minimal design, entirely based on the contrast of black and white, with particular attention to the materials used to ensure a high quality.

The redesign process has been designed and built by ARCHIVIO PERSONALE, a creative space focused on Set-Design, Event-Production and Food Concepts.

For Pitti Immagine, Gerist presented an exclusive menu, ranging from classic sandwiches, toast, salads and soups to rice croquettes, sushi and fusion food; a wide choise with a traditional and multiethnic menu, without leaving the taste of healthy, natural and genuine food.

The 15 bars in the Fair in Florence renewed packaging, strictly recyclable material. The presentation and exposure of the products offered are characterized by originality through the use of wooden boxes covered in brine. New line, unique and customized for graphical menus, product labels, accessories and shoppers, all designed by Archivio Personale.

Restyling and innovations include the bar located at the Congress Center, that’s ready with a completely new design.
